Let's Go Fly a Kite

I created a kite for my summer project from materials that I could easily lay my hands on primarily. Not having access to a studio I found to be a disadvantage, so I created the basic framework for this using treated sticks from my garden. I bound them together, to create a basic 'Kite' shape. I then used my embroidery skills to decorate fabric to sew on top of the kite. Unfortunately the end result was very fragile, and broke repeatedly in transit. However I am pleased with my fink outcome because I proved to myself what i could do with little materials or resources readily available to me.

This is some examples of sketchbook research that I undertook before creating my finished Kite.
